We know that manga is superior, but that doesn't stop us from talking about anime too.

lol I wonder why...my sis says that i'm weird thinking that kaname sama is hawt but what she doesn't knows (since she hates anime and manga :/ ) that what really takes my attention is the eyes of a chara, if they can transmite an emotion, then i find them sexy <3 (here is why i like more manga than anime cuz sometimes anime charas eyes look kind of dead to me >__< ).....but also agree with Kipcha that it has to do with a great and original personality that really takes ur attention, like death note, i think light is so hawt but one of my friends thinks that L is sexier ^^;; i don't think so but she was more atracted to L personality and i went for kira <3...the same goes for other animes like vampire knight, some people think kaname is hawter (like me ~♥) and others go with zero.....so yeah it's personality
 @Meta-Battler why don't u give ur opinion? i mean isn't spamming just to say that u have an opinion and don't want to share it ^^;; |

I personally think it's because of the same reasons you get attracted to a real person. For me it may be by appearance or the persons personality.

You'd be surpised at what some people fall in love with. To answer your question though. I do think some people can fall in love with the way a anime character some because of the fact that if they could be a anime character they would be that one or they'd like someone like that character in their life.

For me, I judge the characters as I would with a real person. If I find their personality or looks attractive, it is most likely I'd find that attractive in a real person.
Sure, I may call a character hot, but I'm not "in love" with characters. I can tell the difference between fiction and reality. (: |
