Don't you hate it when...

The main girl gets the really hot guy she wants...... All the other girls in the school get jealous!
They plot evil against her to make the guy "not like her". I've seen it too many times, and its really annoying. I can't stand it when this happens. UHHg!!!! What do you guys think!?!?

you have three opinions if you see that again

1, Trow your computer out of the window
2. search for a knife, and molest your computer
3. just stop reading the manga and search for a better one

I tend to just stop reading the manga when that happens. Though I liked how the situation turned out in Seiyuu ka. The leader of the fangirls ended up becoming the main character's (Hime's) friend~ Fruits Basket wasn't bad either when it came to the fangirls. But that's because....well....Hanajima was there (XD).

Agreed. There is only so much I can tolerate and once it crosses the borderline of pathetic-ness (e.g. Honey Hunt), I want to cry at those who actually bother buying such Manga.

I know! Its extremely annoying!!! Then when the evil fan girl is about to get her revenge...her boyfriend or some guy she likes shows up out of nowhere and saves her! dun dun dun! who knew that would have happend...!

Well, in my opinion I like the 'evil' fan-girls more than the main character when they have personality, for example Sumire from Gakuen Alice.

It bugs me too. Seriously, are they actually school with fan clubs for some male student composed of desperate and psychotic females who try to claim he "belongs to everyone?" Sure wasn't at any of my schools.

I know right?! And dude this one girl was sooo crazy she got a group of her "guy friends" to try to DO IT with her!!! I was like, WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE!? Sometimes its just realllyyy stupid!!! >0<

It's a convenient way to make an easy, disposable antagonist. Rivals require effort and character development to be convincing, and have staying power that may not always be desirable. The gaggle of fangirls, on the other hand, are defined by their one trait (fangirlishness) and can be easily shoved into the background after they're done.
